My parents and bf were both like a 3-5 minute drive away and my gym was also just a couple streets away. The grocery store and pet store were literally in the parking lot across from my work. I was just lucky that everything was SO close to where I worked. That’s why I would always drive on my regular route. The paranoia while driving might not be worth it. The penalties for getting caught are pretty steep. However, I would say I was definitely taking a chance. I would mostly go to the gym, grocery store, pet store for dog food, my bfs house and my parents house. I wouldn’t drive at night and I wouldn’t drive across town. I was paranoid about my interlock camera like “telling on me” but apparently they don’t even check those unless you blow dirty. But if you are driving well and not breaking any traffic laws, why would you get pulled over anyways? Aside from like getting in a freak car accident or something like that happening you are relatively good. I just made sure most of the places were somewhat on my regular route to approved places.

I drove for a year on a restricted license and honestly I drove to the gym and other places. My suspension occurred during the shut down so it made the 6 months a bit easier. I made sure that I only ever drove during reasonable business hours/sunlight and never drove my car anywhere near a bar. I was never pulled over but I had a few Cops stop behind me at a light or were driving behind me in the road that I was paranoid as hell about but nothing ever came of it.
